Questions
Why do I need my own Anthropic API key?
The app is built by Claude, Anthropic's AI model. Running it on your key keeps the cost transparent and under your control — you set the maximum budget, and you can see the usage in your Anthropic console. Create a key at console.anthropic.com.
What happens to my file and passwords?
Credentials are stored encrypted and deleted as soon as the conversion is finished. Your file is deleted right after its structure and data have been extracted. A temporary copy hosted for the data export is removed from the server immediately afterwards.
Why does the account need full access?
Only a full-access account can read the complete structure of the file (tables, scripts, layouts, security). Please also give it the "Access via OData" extended privilege so the data can be exported.
What is not converted?
Plug-ins, external data sources (other FileMaker files, ODBC), and things that only exist on a desktop (window management, printing dialogs) cannot be copied as-is. The AI finds a web equivalent where there is one and lists everything else in the conversion report.
How long does it take?
